Warped Tour 2015

Over the summer my friends Malory, Wade, and I went to warped tour. For those who don’t know what warped tour is, it is an outdoor event that is held at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Tickets to get in are $45 at  the door and there are huge amount of people there. The bands we saw were Metro Station, Palisades, M4Sonic, Amity Affliction, Simple Plan, and Icon for Hire. The band that I was most excited to see what Metro Station. My best friend in middle school got me their first cd for my birthday and I was so excited to finally see them live. I was beyond excited when they started playing their old songs and I knew every word and sang out with them. The other band I was excited to see was Icon for Hire I didn’t know as many of their songs and didn’t start listening to them till that year but I did know a few and I sang the ones I knew. We got there around 10:30 am and the doors open at 11. Depending on what bands you wanted to see would determine how long you would stay. Last year we were able to see all the bands we wanted and left by 5pm. This year we were there till 8pm. No one knows the line-up for the bands until you get there and buy a schedule. There are 90 bands that play and there are I believe 6 stages. This year we had quite a few gaps between some of the bands, so we decided to go into the building to get some food and sit down for a bit and we did that each time we had a long break. The very last break we had we went into the arena and sat down I was really red like as red as a tomato. As we were sitting there talking the girl behind us was trying to get her friends attention from the upper level so we helped her and got their attention. When they came down and sat behind us we all got to talking mostly on different topics. One on past relationships and the other on youtubers. Both the other girl and I were talking about how we don’t really talk to random people yet here we both are talking to each other. After that we walked with them to go see Black Veil Brides. After that we went so see our very last band for the day Amity Affliction. At that one the mosh pit was right in front of us. Thankfully a guy stood in front of Mal and me so we didn’t get run into. Then we moved and the mosh pit was behind us. After the band was done we went back to the car and went out to get food. Of course Wade and I got food at Taco Bell and Mal got food at Mcdonalds. We finally got home and relaxed for the rest of the night after getting sunburnt.

Random Road Trip

I was hanging out at my friend Heather’s house when I get a call. It’s my friend Wade asking if I was busy and hoping that I wasn’t. I said I was just hanging out with Heather. He asked if I would go with him to Ann Arbor. I said I would, he explained what was going on that the photo booth place he works with, ran out of ink and paper and needed it for the wedding reception that they were working. First I had to call my sons dad to see if he could keep Jase longer since it was already 7pm and I usually get Jase back around 8:30. He said that he would watch him so I could go. I drove home and waited for Wade to pick me up. When he got there I got into his MINI Cooper and we took off. We stopped to pick up the paper and ink at his bosses house. Then we took off out of Bay City. Going down the highway of course we would listen to music from Issues, Palisades, Jason Aldean and more artists. Of course when you’re on a road trip you have to sing to help pass the time. That’s exactly what we did. Of course he tried to pass all the country songs but I wasn’t going to let that happen, I love listening to country music. About an hour and a half later we got there and we gave them the ink and paper and took off to head back to Bay City. On our way back we did the same thing on the way there we blared the music and sang. He again tried to pass the country songs and I would tell him to go back. Then we stopped off in the car meet in Saginaw for a half an hour and he talked with the guys about cars of course, and showed them his MINI Cooper and talked about that. Being the only girl in a group of 8 guys was definitely something. I had to get back so I could get Jase from his dads so about a half hour after getting there we left. I got into my driveway at about 11:30 pm and then went to go get my son. I was never able to say I have been on a random road trip like that, but I am not able to say that anymore.

MINIS on the Mack

My best memory with one of my friends is going to MINIs on the Mack. We were trying to break the record of mini coopers in a parade. We left at 4am August 1^st but I was up and ready to go texted my friend Wade to make sure that he was up as well so we would be able to leave at the time that we had wanted to. He gets to my house and we take off. Might have been an early morning but when we got to where we were supposed to be we could see the Mackinaw Bridge. We pull into the area we were supposed to be at and it was a huge field with nothing on it but MINI Coopers. We went and signed in and got our bags that they gave us. We walked around looked at all the other cars that were there. It was amazing to see. There was a Hello Kitty Mini, A tye dye mini, and a mini that someone made a miniature version of the Mackinaw Bridge on. There was definitely a lot of minions on the cars either as plush or as decals on the cars. If you wanted you could go minion hunting and count them all. When all the MINIS finally showed up we had one full side of the field filled and at least half of the other side. The person who put all of this together gave a speech and so did the sheriff. After they had their speeches everyone got into their cars and all got ready to pull out. We went row by row from the front. Luckily we were the 4^th row so we didn’t have to wait very long to leave. While getting out to the highway it was a lot of getting up to speed them stop, get back up to speed and stop over and over again. We finally got to where we were starting for the parade marker. From that point all the way over the Mackinaw Bridge was an amazing experience. We got to the designated spot to host the rest of the event got food and walked around Mackinaw. We got back in time to hear the rest of the results. There were 1,319 MINI Coopers in the parade and we needed 1,451. We didn’t get back home till just about midnight. Bowling

I’m going to go back to when I first started hanging out with my group of friends. We all would hang out and go bowling at Monitor lanes in Bay City.

All 7 of us walked into the bowling alley got our shoes and went to the lane we were in and of course it is glow bowling. Then we had to figure out how we were going to be lined up and usually had 2 lanes for all 7 of us and we would go by nicknames. So then the next step was going to pick out the bowling ball that best suited the bowler. Then we started bowling and as we are going along of course or friend Malory gets hungry and to none of our surprise she orders french fries. We are all being goofy, I have had a few Mountain Dews and hyped up on the caffeine. All 6 girls are dancing and singing to all those songs from middle school that everyone did the dances too. When it comes time to our friend Emily’s turn she goes to bowl and as she watches the ball go down the lane our friend Wade goes right up behind her and as she turns around she is right in front of her face.

She says “Seriously Wade do you have to do that every time?”

His reply “Yes, Yes I do!”

Of course each time it was Emily’s turn he would go up behind her and scare her. You would think she would be expecting it by a certain point, but she didn’t. Which we all were laughing at. While others were bowling we would be telling jokes and I would be laughing so hard that my stomach hurt, being hyped up on sugar wasn’t making it any easier to stop laughing.

Wade walked up to me and said “I should video tape you when you’re hyper.”

I asked “Is it really that funny to see?”

His response was “Yes it is. I want to record it so you can watch it and see what everyone else gets to see when you’re hyped up on caffeine and sugar.”

To this day he has never recorded me and I will not be reminding him of that. Every time going bowling with my friends was always so much fun and my stomach hurt every time I would go home. Always in a good way though.   

Why I chose this

The reason I chose this topic is because I have had some great times with my friends and I have a lot to say on that matter. Everyone has those few friends that they hang out with all the time. Yeah, those are the friends I will be talking about. I honestly didn’t know what friends I would have left after having my son. The friends that stayed by my side and helped me through what they could help with. My friends have always been there for me and I will always be there for them. I have so many great stories and great adventures with them that I wanted to share them with all of you. I will take you through some of my favorite stories like Minis on the Mack, warped tour, Tawas and some other good ones. I don’t know where I would be today without the help and support of my friends and family. My friends are what keep me sane in my day to day life with a 2 year old and working at a daycare taking care of kids.

Everyone has their moments where they get mad at their friends and have a huge fight or whatever. For my friends I can count on one hand when I’ve gotten really mad at them and let me tell you it is less than 5. How many can say the same? I have been friends with my 2 best friends since my junior year of high school and that was in 2010 when I started my junior year. 

There have been a lot of goofy things that have happened with my friends but who doesn’t have that happen with your friends as well. I can’t say for certain that everyone has the same kind of friends that I have and honestly I wouldn’t trade them for anything. They call me crazy and a goof but my response is always “you hang out with me”. They usually agree that they are too.

I may not be telling stories like others who are telling about their favorite car, sports, video game, movies, or anything else but I always have something to say or a story to tell when it comes to my friends. So as your reading my stories I’m sure you are picturing that one friend you would think would so something like that. So continue to read what I post and hope you get as many laughs and joy out of it as I did living it and re telling it.
